I am a practising visual artist originally from Christchurch, now living in Nelson. I paint and draw with acrylics, pencil, charcoal and ink. 
My work consists of portraits, still lifes, life drawings, abstracts, geometric designs and symbolic narratives. The narratives are large paintings which reference segments of my lifes journey, often with a focus on the spiritual.
The images of torsos, altars, drapery, crosses, urns, and temples etc are influenced by classical art and architecture that I have studied and experienced while traveling throughout Europe.
My palette is dominated by dark and moody inky blues through to luscious lighter hues contrasted with black and white. However, at times a hint of yellow ochre, brown or green may appear.
Although over the years its often been difficult to find a work space to create in, I am now able to work from my home and studio on the Monaco peninsular, a place where I have at last been able to create a peaceful sanctuary for my soul and art.
