The sun will be shining high over Queens Gardens this Saturday for the annual Summer exhibition in the Queens Garden.
Now into it's 51st year, 44 artists will be exhibiting art work from a variety of mediums from oil, acrylic, watercolour, collage, mixed media, photography to pottery and resin art.
Along with an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists, limited edition prints, pottery bowls and mugs, framed art work of all shapes and sizes and cards will be for sale at affordable prices.
Event organiser Gilly Booth says 'The artists are from all walks of life some are professional artists and others amateurs creating art just for the love of it, no judgement'.
Art Group Nelson meets once a month at Greenmeadows on Songer Street, Stoke with speakers and demonstrations. Members can show their art and get feedback if they wish from the wealth of experience in the group, while enjoying the social environment. The main aim of the group is the fostering and encouraging of artists at all levels.
'We also hold instructional workshops throughout the year with discounted prices for members. In Winter/Spring there is an Exhibition at Greenmeadows with an opportunity for artists to win awards and prizes.
This year we are greatful for the support of MenzShed who have built new frames for displaying of artwork.' says Gilly.
Head to Queens Gardens between 10am - 4pm on Saturday 13 January.
